LIGHT FOR THE WORLD is a leading European NGDOs aiming at an inclusive society which provides equal access to health, education and livelihood for persons with disabilities. LIGHT FOR THE WORLD consists of Confederation partners in the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic and Belgium, and country offices in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Mozambique and South Sudan. LIGHT FOR THE WORLD works closely with a variety of local partners and stakeholders and as of 2014, supports 185 programs in 26 countries.
LIGHT FOR THE WORLD is committed to VISION 2020 and recently intensified its longstanding efforts towards the elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD). LIGHT FOR THE WORLD supports Trachoma work in Ethiopia, South Sudan and Mozambique using the SAFE strategy, whilst Onchocerciasis intervention builds on more than 10 years experience with therapeutic coverage reaching over 80% in various regions.
